On Monday 10th March, a group of Year 5/6 pupils vbisited the Civic Centre with Miss Vaughan and Mrs Couch to particpate in a short service commemorating Commonwealth Day.
The Mayor of Newport read a short message from Her Majesty the Queen and the Commonwealth flad was raised.
Afterwards, we all went to the Mayor’s Parlour for refreshments. Then the Mayor invited us to have a look at the Council Chamber. We even got to sit in the Mayor’s special chair.We all had a great time.
