Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
We do hope you have enjoyed the Christmas break with your families. I have had a wonderful week in St Woolos and the whole community have been so welcoming. The children have all settled back into school and are enjoying learning through a whole school project called Cynefin. This means the children are exploring a sense of belonging and what it means to them. It is about being inclusive and valuing every single member of our community whilst celebrating all that is diverse about us.
We offer a warm welcome to our new children and their families who have had their first stay and play sessions in Nursery.
We have had some really cold weather this week and a reminder to please ensure that the children are dressed appropriately in a warm coat, with hats and gloves. We will go out in all weathers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tania Bowden and Lucy Davies who have done an exceptional job in running the school in a highly effective way ensuring the children have the very best. I feel privileged to join such a wonderful school. Mrs Davies is really excited to be back as class teacher in Tewdrig. She has had a great first week and would like to thank her class for being their very best.
RIGHT of the WEEK
Article 36: this week the children have been learning about how they are protected as a a child. This right makes it clear
that children and young people should not be exploited for any reason.
Parents meetings – Meet the headteacher
It is essential that we work together in partnership to get the very best for your child and allow them to be and become the best version of themselves. This only happens when relationships are right between home and school. In the meantime, if you need anything please email me on MiltonR@hwbcymru.net or pop into Reception if you need to arrange a meeting. I would love the opportunity to meet with you all to explain my vision and values in my role as headteacher at St Woolos and to introduce myself so we can get to know one another. The meetings will be held in the school canteen which you can find at the back of the school. If you have multiple children in the school, then please attend any meeting that works for you.
