The next Family Science Workshop will take place on Tuesday from 3.45-4.45pm. If you are interested in joining this for the first time, please see Miss Watkins.

Nursery visit to Reception

On Thursday, Nursery children joining us in Reception in September, together with chidren from private nurseries,  will be visiting their new class.

We are full in both of our Reception classes in September and have several pupils on the waiting list for places.

Club Awards Morning

Our Club Awards Morning for regular attendance at school clubs will take place on Friday at 10.00am and you are welcome to join us for this. We will also be giving cerificates out for positions of responsibility during the year.

Attendance and Punctuality

Please continue to ensure that your chid is on time every day. Mrs Couch and I will be at the school doors on random days. There is no set pattern. We will also be joined from time to time by Mrs Sue Haigh, our Education Welfare Officer, whom some of you have already met.

New Classes

Numbers have continued to increase and I’m pleased to say that in September we are creating an additional class in Key Stage Two. The school will then be at its maximum number of classes after eighteen years of continuous growth. This means that we will be able to reduce class sizes across the Key Stage to bring them in line with the smaller classes in the Foundation Phase.

We have appointed a new class teacher, Miss Murphy BA (Hons) PGCE, who will be joining us in Key Stage Two  in September from The Gaer Primary School. She will be a lovely asset to the school and we are looking forward to her joining us.

We had our Transition Day today and children visited their new class.
