Dear Parent/Carer,

Thank you very much for supporting us so well with our Christmas Fayre!

It was, as usual, a very busy event and it was lovely to see so many families with us and also to see so many past pupils joining us. We made a total of £974.02 before expenses and all of the money raised will go towards supporting activities such as the Christmas discos and also buying equipment for the school.

Thank you also to parents, staff and local businesses for donating such lovely raffle prizes. On the back of this newsletter is a list of businesses who supported us.

This week is fairly quiet apart from our concerts which are listed below:

Weds 6th December – Y1/2 Concert (2.00pm) (Dress Rehearsal Tuesday 5th Dec  – 2.00pm)

Friday 8th December  – Reception Concert (2.00pm) (Dress Rehearsal Thursday 7th Dec – 2.00pm)

Craft Club

Tomorrow (Tuesday)  is the last craft club for this term.

Christmas Concerts

Thank you for supporting our request not to bring babies or toddlers below Nursery age to the concerts (Including the Nursery one). This helps to ensure that your child can be clearly heard by everyone and that they can enjoy performing without being disturbed by crying or talking.

A few of you have already spoken to Miss Spray about joining us for the dress rehearsal if you have no-one nearby to babysit. This will be helpful for you because there will be more room and it will easier for you to leave the hall if your baby or toddler become upset.

The same system will apply for the Nursery and Junior performances the week after so if you would like to attend the dress rehearsal, please speak to Mrs Agland, Mrs Couch or Mrs Davies soon.

Thank you for your continued support with this.

These are some helpful dates for you for next week:

Saturday 9th December –        Choir singing at Newport St Woolos Cathedral (for Eden Gate Homeless Project and Night Shelter)

Wednesday 13th December – Nursery Concerts 10.30am and 2.00pm

Thursday 14th December –     {Junior Concert – 2.00pm

Friday 15th December –           {Junior Concert – 2.00pm

Monday 18th December           Christmas Lunch

Wednesday 20th December – Christmas parties (School)

 Nursery Entertainment (no Afternoon Nursery)

Friday 22nd December –           Christingle – Havelock Street Church – 10.00

Parking

Please do not let your child get out of the car on the road side.

Children should always get out on the side of the pavement. A neighbour contacted us last week because she nearly knocked over a child who suddenly climbed out of a car on the road side as she was driving past. Also, a parent was very concerned to see a child climbing over the safety fence whilst with their father last week.  Please ensure that you keep a very close eye on your child when you are leaving the school grounds because North Street and Stow Hill can be dangerous roads. Thank you for helping with this.

Bonus Ball

There is a roll over this week.

Yours sincerely,
