Dear Parent/Carer,
What great performances we had again last week with Nursery concerts, ‘Tinsel and Teatowels’ (Year 3/4
classes), ‘The Polar Express’ (Year 5/6 classes)!Well done to everyone taking part and also to everyone in the
performances the week before.
It’s been so lovely to have parents back in school for our concert and the children have loved having such great audiences! We’re so very proud of them! 😊

The final total for our Christmas Fayre was £1,484, which is a fantastic sum of money. We really appreciate your generosity and support. All of the money raised goes towards supporting the cost of events, activities and our annual pantomime performance.

Year 3 children had a lovely visit to Nant Coch Church last Wednesday for the Why Christmas? activity morning.

Party Days
Nursery had their parties today and all classes from Reception to Year have their party day tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning Rokarola Disco are running a Foundation Phase Disco and separate Key Stage 2 ones and they will be lots of fun!

Children will be doing dun activities in the class and then, in the afternoon, its party time.

We’ve hope the arrangements are helpful for you.

Children can wear party clothes.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Father Christmas is joining us also!
Also tomorrow morning is the Nursey Entertainment for both morning and afternoon groups. Mr Barber has very kindly lent us the indoor Snowglobe to use in the morning in Nursery so this will be lots of fun.

There is no afternoon Nursery on Wednesday.

Stow Hill Pantry
This is open on Thursday from 3.15-4.00pm in the Family Room near the Nursery entrance. This is the last day for the Pantry this year and it will restart on the first Thursday of the new term. We will be setting up a slightly different system to help you access this, and I’ll let you know more when we come back to school in January.

Thursday
Thursday is our charity Christmas Jumper Day and the charity we are supporting is the Forgetmenot Dementia appeal. We hope that past pupil, Stefan Vine, who rowed across the Atlantic earlier in the year in support of the Forgetmenot Dementia appeal, will be able to come into visit us in the new year and receive the donation.

It is also Toy Day and children may bring in any table top games to play with, as long as they are not electronic devices, because of risk of damage.

In the morning, the Nursery, Reception and Year 4 pupils will be taking part in a Christingle Service in the Nursery, and Nursery morning and afternoon parents have been invited to this.

There is no afternoon Nursery on Thursday.

In the afternoon, the Christingle Service will also be shared with the rest of the school and will be our final event of the year.

We break up for two weeks and school will resume on Tuesday 10th January. (We have an INSET Day on Monday 9th.)

I’d like to thank you for all your support during the past term, thank staff for all their hard work and commitment, and also wish you a very Happy Christmas and the very best of luck and good health for the new year!

Very kind regards,
H L Vaughan
