Dear Parent/Carer,
Our Welsh Fortnight begins today in preparation for our Eisteddfod on March 2nd.
Internet Safety Day is on Tuesday 11th February, and all classes will be doing lessons focusing on the safe use of the internet. The digital Leaders will also be taking the assembly. If you were unable to come to last week’s Parent Internet Safety meeting you will find it helpful to look at the Police ‘Schoolbeat’ website which has a number of internet safety guides.

On Wednesday afternoon, Year 3 pupils are taking part in a Dance Show at the Dolman Theatre. They will be doing a line dance from the ‘DDMix’ dance programme which has been developed by Dame Darcy Bussell and she will be attending the event. It will be a lovely experience for the children and they will really enjoy it I’m sure.
The Nursery Immersion day is on Thursday.
Also on Thursday, we have a new Family Learning workshop- ‘An Introduction to Welsh Culture’ and this is for anyone who wants to find out more about St David’s Day and Welsh traditions. It runs from 9.00-10.00am and refreshments will be served.
On Friday we have a casual day and children are able to wear their own clothes for a donation of £1.00. If this amount is too high, then you are welcome to send in a smaller donation if you are able to.
We break up on Friday for half term and school opens again on Monday 24th February.
Attendance
Last week the school average attendance for the week was 91%.
The classes with attendance over 94% were 1/2D, 3/4B, RH, RD and 5/6M
Breakfast Club
Children who attend the breakfast club have today received a letter about the opportunity to make voluntary contributions for the next half term.
