Dear Parent/Carer,
This is an update on yesterday’s newsletter and also Sunday’s information letter.
Children have a had good day in school today and have been working hard 🙂
All of the information that I currently have as a headteacher, I am sharing with you, but I thought that it would be helpful to know what we are doing at the moment.
At the moment, we have no information about any closures and have no closure planned. However, as you are aware, we have been putting measures in place over the last few days such as checking passwords for home access etc just in case they are needed atsome point. We have also been sorting out information packs and some basic stationery to provide children with, should they need to work from home.
To help prepare for this, please send a carrier bag labelled with your child’s name in to school tomorrow. We will keep the bags until we need them to put items in and children can also take home their Welsh lovespoons in them.
We will also send home some books if we need to close but It would also be helpful to check that you have some pens, pencil crayons, paper, scissors and glue etc at home just in case you need them. (You can also make a simple glue by mixing flour and water.)
Breakfast Club and School Dinners
These will continue to run as usual and I have already been in touch with Chartwell’s Catering to discuss any contingency plans for all children including those who have free school meals.
Clubs
All after-school clubs are now cancelled and this means that Netball, Minecraft and Football clubs will stop for the time being.
As the situation changes, I will share any updates with you. I am in regular daily contact with Dr Glover, our Chair of Governors, and he, like all of us, is putting the best interests of our school community first in any decision-making.
I will continue to be available start and end of the school day so please feel free to speak to me if you have any questions. I will also send you an update tomorrow.
In the meantime, thank you for your continued support for the school and your kind words.
Yours sincerely,
HLVaughan
