Dear All,
Thank you for such great support for our first ‘Reading Extravaganza’! Children loved having visitors in the class and I hope that it was helpful for you to see some of the actvities that your child is doing, or will do when they are older.
The next one will run in the summer term and will focus on actvities that you can do at home and also games that you can make for your child to play with you.
Our Welsh Fortnight starts today.
Classes 4/5B, 5/6W and 5/6P have had great ‘Potions Workshops’ today with Liam Thomas from Cardiff University who also works with the Royal Society for Chemistry and he was accompnaied by three Chemistry students from Cardiff.

Parent Pay
The Parent Pay system for school dinners has started well. Please note that the school is unable to accept any payment for meals. This must be done either online at at a payment point, using an individaul barcode.
If you need help with a bar code, please see either Mrs Kidd or Mrs Martin in the office.
Eco Tip
Please continue to help us recycle batteries by sending in any old batteries. We are taking part in a Newport-wide competition for this and collecting boxes are near the office and also in the Nursery entrance.
Last year we were prizewinners in this competition, so we hope to do really well again this year.
Sainsbury’s Vouchers
Each year we collect Sainsbury’s vouchers and are always able to order a number of items. This year we will use the vouchers to order additional play equipment. Please support us by collecting these when you can or by asking friends, family or colleagues.
