Dear Parent/Carer,

Well done to Year 1/2 classes and Reception classes for such great concerts last week! 😊

Thank you in particular to parents who helped by arriving on time and by being such a supportive audience. We really want all of the children to have the best experience of performing they can, and you really helped with this. Our aim is to make each child feel like they are performing in a theatre and have a great time.

This Week
Concert information and start times have been on the Diary Dates sheet, previous newsletters and class Seesaw posts but, as a reminder, performances this week are:

Tuesday 12th December – Year 3/4 classes – 10.00am / Afternoon Nursery Concert – 2. 00pm
Wednesday 13th December – Morning Nursery Concert – 10.00am
Friday 15th December – Year 5/6 Concert – 10.00am

A letter was sent via Schoop on Thursday with some concert reminders. Thank you for your very positive response and also messages about this information.

Please remember that you need to arrive on time, by the start of the concert, either at 10.00am or 2.00pm.

As in previous years, no babies or toddlers under Nursery age are allowed to attend. This means that all children have the chance to perform and be heard. Thank you in advance for respecting these requests for all concerts.

The school Christmas Dinner is on Wednesday. This is always a lovely meal and we try to make it a special experience for everyone.

Also on Wednesday, the School Council are organising a ‘Give Something Up Day’ to raise funds for the charity Save the Children who are providing humanitarian relief to all children and families affected by the conflict in Gaza. The School Council will be sending out a ‘Give Something Up’ slip tomorrow, for children to complete and bring in on Wednesday if they want to take part.

The Pantry will be open from 3.15-3.45pm on Wednesday.

Christmas Parties Next Week
Our Nursery Christmas party is on Tuesday 19th December, and the School Christmas Parties and Discos take place on Wednesday 20th December. On Party Day children can wear their own choice of party clothes.

Letters about food have been sent home but if you have any worries about this or are struggling to find food to bring in, please let us know. Please remember also, that no foods containing nuts should be sent in. Please send the food in on Party Day, and not before.

If you are able to help your child’s class teacher on Party Day, please let them know.

Tint Rebel Community Christmas Dinner
Tiny Rebel Brewery have offered to provide Christmas meals for any families who find themselves in crisis on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. They are offering deliveries of meals in and around Newport to any families who may be struggling to provide food. If you want to find our more, please ring or text 07761 160832

Last Day of Term
The last day of term will be Thursday 21st December, when school breaks up until Monday 8th January 2024. Thank you for your continuing support for all of the school activities.

Very kind regards,
